Welookup Insights LLP (“Welookup”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through welookupinsights.com. This notice describes what we collect, why, the legal bases we rely on, and the rights you have under the EU/UK GDPR, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA/CPRA).

1. Data we collect

  • Identity & contact: name, business email, phone, company, job title — when you submit a form, subscribe or book a call.
  • Enquiry content: messages, requirements, budgets and timing you share with us.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, referrer, device, approximate location (from IP), interaction events.

Under India’s DPDP Act, processing is based on your consent or on a legitimate use (response to a request you initiated).

3. Recipients & subprocessors

We share data with vetted service providers that help us run the site and respond to you (CRM, analytics, scheduling, hosting). See our current Subprocessors list. We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as defined under CPRA.

4. International transfers

Where personal data leaves your jurisdiction, we rely on appropriate safeguards: EU Standard Contractual Clauses (2021/914), the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and equivalent contractual mechanisms for transfers to or from India.

5. Retention

  • Lead and enquiry records: up to 36 months after last interaction, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus suppression-list retention required by law.
  • Analytics events: up to 14 months (GA4 default).
  • Records required for tax/legal compliance: as required by applicable law.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • access, rectify, erase or restrict processing of your data;
  • port your data to another controller;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing;
  • withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing);
  • lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (e.g. ICO in the UK, EU Data Protection Authorities, Data Protection Board of India);
  • (California) know, delete, correct, and limit use of sensitive personal information; we do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

7. Children

The site is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you solely by automated means.
